Anyone got any recommendations on any good games for Wii? I've been waiting for:
Mario
Metroid
Smash Brothers
Just got an email from Amazon to say that they've been put back again and I'm bored playing Wii Sports.

Well, Resident Evil 4 came out today. Also out that look interesting are The Godfather, Mario Strikers, Excite Truck, Rayman, Kororinpa, and of course Zelda. If I had money to burn, I'd also look at Wario Ware, Mortal Kombat, Heatseeker or maybe Eledees, but they've had mixed reviews - maybe pick them up cheap from Ebay. Most of the others seem to be quick and nasty ports, or just quick and nasty.
However, Scarface and Mario Party are just around the corner, and later this year there will be the 3 you covered, plus new Red Steel and Rayman games, as well as Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles. The other one I had my eye on was Manhunt 2, but as you're probably aware, that has been postponed indefinitely, even though most places still seem to be selling it
Not all that impressed by the initial Red Steel, hopefully the next one might be better though. I did consider Mario Strikers, might have to give it a try.
Cheers,

My house mate bought Super Mario Strikers the other day, I've not been roped in to playing on it yet though as he's happy to play online with other people

Ohhhh, now I didn't know you could play online, that might make me buy it, you can't beat beating your mates into the ground.

If you can see beyond the bugs, COD3 is worth a go.
People rave about Zelda, but I somehow miss the appeal.

Zelda is very very fun. Also for "look like an idiot while playing" factor WarioWare Smooth Moves. Pan***a Golf is also quite fun, a lot more technical than Wii Sports Golf. Pirates of the Carribbean - At World's End is pretty cute. I've also bought the missus the Harry Potter game - I just wanted to see her waving around trying to cast spells.

The Wii is my first console so I never played any Zelda before, and I agree that it took me a while to see why people like it. Really doesn't get going until you're at least 5 hours in (well, for a beginner like me - someone's completed it in 5:30?!).
I was enjoying it until I realised I'd been playing it for 20+ hours and was still only 1/3 through - that made me very depressed. Assuming I managed to spend a couple of hours a week on it, I'd still be playing it at Christmas...
Looks decent, wasted sooo many hours at college on the Acorns playing asteroids.

Well, some would argue that a good thing but I agree.
Far too much aimless running around wondering what you've missed.
Still, not as big a disappointment as Red Steel.
The game whose sequal made you buy the Wii. Only to find when you play it, it could have been on the PS1.
Utter ****!
