    Ezee internet - what's happened?

Anyone know if something has happened to Ezee.co.uk - their server is down, and I can't reach my charity's emails?

Same problem here, DNS for my domain is failing, webmail down and ezee.co.uk down. I seem to still be able to access email via POP3 though.

    Hi guys,

Me too. Everything is down. Does anyone have a contact for Ezee? I have no phone number, no email, nothing.

    Hope someone can help.

    Michael

Me too. a few years ago the owner of ezee internet (Carl Gray) went bust with Ghoulnet and the same thing happened ie everything switched off.
I have tried to ring on his Skype address but nothing. I wondered if Dooby could say how he got email via pop3 as i have tried everything i think.

I had my pop3 account setup on Outlook on one of my PCs, when I couldnt get on webmail I tried my other pc and I got email downloading via POP3. It may be something to do with it caching dns lookup (that is, the DNS record you need to find the pop3 account no longer exists, but the ip address does...) I'll have a check and see if it still works.

*update* OK, pop3 doesn't work now either

I can't access anything from Ezee either (not even pop3 and nothing is being forwarded to Hotmail for me either). Looks like the whole site is down and has been since around 3.00 p.m. Monday. I've been with them for years and never had this total blackout problem before for so long! Hope it's not terminal. I've just sent an email to both these addresses but I doubt if I'll get a response: ts@ezee.co.uk & cs@ezee.co.uk (they're both "do not reply to" addresses).

Thier primary domain "had" an US IP and both DNS servers seem to be down so thats not much help.

Wish there was something more helpful we could do for you guys.

    Thanks guys.

Is there any news when this problem will be fixed? And will our emails be lost?

    Thanks,

    Michael

Just a little update on the 'history' of what I did that may explain why I could access the POP3 this morning...

I usually use the webmail from my main (work) pc, and when I noticed that was down I went to my other (personal) pc to look up old emails to see if I could find the details of my domain registration (if I needed to transfer)...
anyway, I found that Outlook succeeded in downloading email via POP3... now what may have happened is that I used that pc yesterday to access webmail and it's possible the DNS lookup was cached locally - which would suggest that maybe the servers are up, but the DNS is down. I guess the only way to check that is if you know the IP address and can go straight to it.

It could be terminal we really can't tell, emails should be held for a couple of days before they bounce back depending on what the issues are.
