Hi,

Having been seriously let down by our current host, we are looking to rent a server to host several sites, including some relatively high bandwidth games sites. Minimum spec required is:

CPU: Intel Dual Core 2.x GHz
HDD: 80GB
RAM: 1GB
Transfer: 2TB/month
IP Addresses: 2
OS: Linux
Control Panel: CPanel, etc - but ideally not Webmin
Other: Full root SSH access, 24/7 technical support
Backup space: 10GB

Nice to have:
Mirrored disks
Server monitoring
Security patches

Our budget is around £100/month or £1000/year. A good level of customer service / technical support is essential.

I think our budget will only stretch to self managed. Ideally security patches would be included.

Your budget's ok for a CPanel VPS, but tight for a dedicated server with everything else you asked for, unless you want to be "let down" again ...

Alerts

With all of our monitoring services you have the option to setup an alert that will notify you of a failure by E-Mail or SMS. There are no charges for this alert system subject to fair use.
KVM Over IP

You can request a KVMoIP to give you console access to the server - eg if you need to get into the BIOS, or do software maintenance that would normally need you to be next to your server physically. This can be requested through our online portal automatically. Your package includes one free session per server per month. If you require another session then this is not a problem; there is a charge of £20+VAT for 4 hours usage.
