A quick search I can find at least a dozen other hosts also established in 1997 providing only Windows servers
I think the first true webhosts are from about 1995, offering Windows NT

Of course, one could argue, if you offer Windows hosting you *have* to specialise in it as it's so poor compared to competitors offers.

I honestly cannot remember, I know it wasn't a very high spec.
It may only be used for messing around with now, but it was still plugged in when I left.
Virtual Linux.
First 'ISP' i ever had dealings with was around that time - they ran a Dual Pentium 90 called Sarah running everything (web/mail/usenet/ftp) on Windows NT.
My dad has the machine now (he still works for them) - and its still running, with its original drives!

My god - i'd forgotten about them! My first PC - a 386sx-40 which for some reason was clocked at 25mhz had one!
Didn't want to risk de-soldering the clock chip and putting a 40mhz one in though - my mum bought it!
