Only if the website is incredibly unimportant. Home hosting simply doesn't have the connectivity, reliability or redundancy for a site of any importance.

The only things I host on the end of my ADSL lines are third-level backup/archive servers, or closed development machines. Decent hosting is so stupidly cheap (ie register1 starts at £25/year) it's a no-brainer.

But we're getting off the point - I think we all agree that hosting from your bedroom is unsuitable if you are trying to set up a hosting company?
