Thread: Looking for 2 VPS for cPanel DNSONLY servers

Hi all,

I am looking for two VPS's (located in separate UK data centres) to be used as cPanel DNSONLY servers, preferably Centos based and has to be very reliable (for obvious reasons). I am looking for just the basics, 1 core, 1gb ram, 20gb hdd etc.

Any idea on how many zones you're going to be managing (and how many cpanel servers will be publishing into the dns-only servers) as after a "few" VZ based VMs start to experience "issues" and other VPS technologies will noticably outperform it.

To avoid FUD, are you talking about VMs or containers? (since VZ supports both)

Since your plan name contains OVZ I'll guess you're referring to OpenVZ, hence containers. For that much it depends (like any tool) how you choose to configure it. If you're overselling, then yes noisy neighbours may be a problem.
