Online application
Good afternoon, folks.
I've been asked to put an application online, though it's windows based, I'm not in a position to do it right now.
The application is net Support, it's needed to act as a remote support gateway for computers that are behind firewalls and not routed. it works on port 3085, I beleive.
Nothing else is required, although access will be needed windows to configure gateway keys, etc.
As always, please let me have your offers, I'll pass it on, the customer will contact those he wants to follow up with.
Many thanks.

Thanks to all for the responses so far -
To clarify, the requirement is for an application called Net Support to be available online, nothing more, no websites, mail, scripts, control panel...... I appreciate the time spent sending replies, and I understand that a dedi server is probably the minimum spec, though mostly what I have been sent (including pm's) seems overkill for what's required, and the prices appear to be above what the customer wants to pay.
If there's an easy and cheap option, that's fine (virtual pc...... :>)
I also don't beleive in something for nothing, if a dedi server is the only way, I'll advise the customer accordingly and he can decide if the investment is worth it.
From a personal perspective, on their own merits, i thought the offers I received were generally very good for what came at the price. Maybe I can persuade the customer to think about doing a little extra and maximise the investment.
On that note if anyone has any off the wall suggestions...
Thanks again everyone, your time is appreciated.
Thanks again.

The requirement of having administrator access pretty much makes it a "dedicated only" solution.
You might get away with a Windows based VPS although I can't think of anyone off-hand that does VPS on Windows, I know there's a few people out there that do though.
Is the Net Support application critical? If so then it might be worth comparing the costs of the service going down because its on a shared server to the cost of having it hosted on a dedicated. This could give the customer the incentive to maximise their budget and go for the more reliable solution.

Thanks, David -
I pretty much knew the server needed to be dedi.
You're right to ask if the application is critical, in fact it's not at all, just a fallback in case routed connections fail.
In fact it's so low priority, he could get by with running it on a domestic pc over adsl. I think he was looking to have something a bit more reliable, but the economics seem to rule it out, I'm afraid.
Well, sometimes we get these non starters, maybe it will convert to something more concrete down the line.
Thanks again to everyone
