Thread: Quality Shared Hosting

Hello,

I'm looking for a reliable host for my large ASP application. I will host many duplicates of these in subdirectories on the account. Each ASP application has up to 10 concurrent connections for a split second and my last host struggled a bit. I kept getting "System Resource Exceeded" errors.

So reliability is a top priority but with good 24/7 monitoring of the servers. Need daily backups (preferred) - I wont need to recover anything, just incase the server goes down.

Top spec servers are a must, this application will run very slow on older machines.

I am only paying around £25 a year at the moment so bear that in mind when quoting me.

No, it was actually £18.99 a year from Streamlinenet, their support is fine, been in touch with the director.

The point is, it works most of the time, but a few times a week, it goes down for 10 minutes or so. Im just looking for anohter place to try.

All I am looking for is Windows Shared Hosting - if you have a lot of customers then Im sure you would monitor the servers.

If you have techies that can properly manage the servers then that error I was getting should not appear.

So... prices for shared hosting!

I am quite offended by that comment goscombtech.

This application is coded very well, all connections are closed, they should only be open for a few milliseconds.

It works most the time, the problem is other people on the server are not closing their connections and thus bringing this system down.

Its not a power hungry, maybe I gave you the wrong idea, it just uses an access db a lot, but only a small 500k one - nothing major here.
