The 'Something Something'
Commented a few days ago on a campaign we're working on with the agency that did the Gail Porter projection onto the HOParliament. Obviously ours isn't as big budget but they've put together a microsite and a viral campaign thats meant to encapsulate are new support initiative - let me know your genuine thoughts.

Honestly? I don't see the point. I don't see what's viral about it, the video clip maybe but could it be any more jeremy beedle? It just feels too forced for me.

To be honest, I closed it within 10s, I think that says it all really. Terrible long URL as well - not great, as demonstrated by the fact that you couldn't type it right

Maybe I'm not the target market, but I really couldn't find the point.
I went to the meeting room, the clips are forward dated, why would I want to come back to watch them ? Clicking on the toilet showed some pictures, then popped up a form no explanation of what it was, why i should fill it in, what you'd do with the info or how to get rid of it.
I understand you need to do something to put behind you the uk2 support are sh!te image you've attracted over the years - surely the way to do that is provide decent support ?

Well he did say he wanted people to be honest and if you search in the archives for anything about UK2, that's generally what you find, that the support leaves a lot to be desired - if you search now though, you can see it's something they have turned around and are trying to keep on top of.

Firstly, my apologies to Anton and UK2 if I've caused them any offence with my comments, obviously my view of "genuine" feedback as requested doesn't match up with other peoples ... if anton/ditlev/et-al want me to edit the post, I will do so
My opinion is still the same though, that "walking-the-walk" will do more to change the perceived image than any amount of hyper-elastic gymnasts near a watercooler on a flash website.

First of all, that page is a landingpage, not supposed to be seen before the vids are seen, and yes - going this way directly to that url might not make a lot of sense...
Honestly I am not sure what this campaign will do or not do for us, but we had a hell of a time making it, and seen in the grand scheme of things (ie. the money we have spent on this compared to our marketing budget in general) it is something we just have to test...
now...

I will just ignore that - putting it down to you having xmas blues or something.
Anyone who have followed UK2, and our support "over the years" know that we have greatly improved - which is why we have more than doubled the size of our company in less than 36 months.

I'm a little confused by the purpose of the site too, perhaps I'm just dim though :P

As much as we'd all like to see Gail feature in the vids her 'bendiness' levels weren’t up to our high expectations and we needed somebody that could do this:

I think the inter-departmental show down @ Somerset House Ice Skating rink last night sapped both my calf muscles and my brains ability to spell.

First point: It was my mistake; I didn't really make it clear what the buh-jesus was actually going on. The idea is that the viral video delights are sent out onto interweb and they each have embedded link for people to find out more > uk2's new initiative in which we'll work bloody hard or 'bend over backwards' for our customers - a point reinforced by ditlevs comments about doubling the size of co.
Second Point: I welcome constructive criticism but BS comments like that are just not needed. > Thats what WHT is for
