BlueSquare is perfectly fine - very pleasant staff, good physical security. The facilities are well cooled (based on being in bluesquare 1 and bluesquare 2 but I've not been to the RapidSwitch part so can't comment there, but I'd assume it's the same). Every datacentre I've been in has been either converted offices or converted industrial units (old gin factories, old fish markets and so on). BlueSquare is right next to the M4 which makes it easy to get to. The building is waterproof, The physical access is good, The remote hands is good (although I assume RapidSwitch use their own staff). There's plenty of power, cheap connectivity back to London (which is relatively reliable but as RapidSwitch have their own wavelengths they're not affected by the recent problems). So everything besides the aesthetics of the building is fine - I don't see a problem with that? espeically given the price of the facility
Anyway before this thread starts going off on one there are good points about rapidswitch/49p....
The few years we had the server with them we couldn't fault the service very very little downtime good speeds and at a good price,
When we got the server home the inside was spotless as good as new which shows the servers are properly looked after with very good air con and filtering system,
the only thing we moaning about them is their attitude and lack of interest when something does not go according to plan

That aside, I have no idea what that has to do with Rapidswitch providing our connectivity. I was more puzzled at your attempt to describe Bluesquare 1 & 2 in that way.
Either you've had too much of the old mulled wine, or you are one of these:

However personally i think you expected too much from them and i can't see what they have done wrong that any/most other hosts would not have done the same, and charged you more.

Thank you for the chance to voice my concerns and the common sense that you have shown.
As for the review I will leave for the moment, as tbh I am still rather annoyed at the way I have been treated for the sake of some common sense and a few pennies for a stamp and an envelope.
The thing is though, you couldn't fault them for connectivity and reliability, but their total inflexibility has cost us a fortune in Server fees (as we have had 2 lots this month) and wasted time. As well as downloading 28 websites and approx 150gb of data off their network. You know the rest as you all have something to do with hosting etc. But once bitten twice shy, I ain't giving them the chance to dump on us again.
I'll leave it at that for now, and like I said before have a nice Christmas.
