uk2.net - need review - Page 2

I've not used them, but they appear very very cheap, but you need to look closely, any extras on top of what they offer will cost you dearly, their cheap domains names will sometimes (for no apparent reason) cost you money to transfer out etc.

Had a few customers who found it really diffucult to move domains from uk2

We had a couple of customers with domains at uk2, they found it hard to move away, their support isnt up to much.

A lot of the reviews on uk2.net are other hosting companies. They aren't exactly going to say ye there fantastic. Go and by with them.

But then saying that searching google the reviews don't look good.

LOL well that link you given just states what we have, they arent that good, if you want no support, adverts etc that you go with uk2, ive know quite a few people use them and move away, everything is extra.

Support is usually poor with large companies. They don't care as much about the customers.

You guys all seem to agree, and I won't ruin that harmony by going too much into how we run the business nowadays

Ye, good luck in improving the service. The first thing I would do is redesign the website because it basically looks s***!!! Look is everything.

It's one of the oldest ones I remember before I even entered the ISP industry.

Not to say it's bad, in fact quite the opposite- the uk2 site conjurs up many happy memories of registering my first domain names.

Yes, the site will be changed now. I know exactly what you mean; some of those pages haven’t been changed in this millennium (no, really!)

Yeah, looks are important - to be honest I find it quite amazing that we have been able to build our current customerbase using this design.

I am sure the new design will bring in a lot of new clients - more importantly though, are the changes I've initiated in order to make sure those clients stay with us

I never had any issues with uk2.net, the only thing I would have to say is that the charge to move .co.uk domains was way too steep. Why when every other ISP doesnt charge.
