I've decided to start a little web hosting experiment and was wondering if anybody here fancies helping out - if you can spare some of your Internet connection's bandwidth that is.
First host - Loads of adverts on eBay from the same person selling, you've laugh I know you will:
Webspace: 3000GB
Bandwidth: 100GB
Domains Hosted: 25
For a whooping.... wait for it, 48p a month.
Now I'm going to take them up on that brilliant offer, I mean it's a fantastic deal isn't it

and I'm going to take them up on that bandwidth too and this is where you come in.
If I upload a Linux ISO, other Open Source software and some large non-copyrighted (infact I own the copyright - since I took the pictures

) photos. Would any of you be willing to download stuff to see how long it takes before the account is suspended.
We could even run a competition, maybe one of you respectable web hosting companies could donate a free hosting package too the winner.
Who ever places a guess to the nearest GB (bandwidth) before the account is pulled is the winner.
Come on it's a laugh and I'm sure you could all do with one.
I can't believe that these little kids buy a cheap reseller account from a reseller of a reseller and then offer packages that cheap.
I bet your all panicking ain't you, with competition like that

Current Cheap Host We've Testing Is:
digitalcityhosting
As far as the owner of this web host knows I'm just hosting a very basic simple website with links to some of my photos and a few music recordings of a family member's band. WHICH just happens to receive a lot of visitors
I'm not going to spam the server or install rapidleech/rapidkill to download large files 24/7 from remote servers. Just plain simple everyday hits. If they can't handle that then they should offer stupidly high bandwidth limits for silly amounts of money.
Now get downloading folks.
