Adult hosting?
HI everyone, (first post)

I Hope you can help me today.

My client has registered his domain name with 123-reg but im not sure if they will host his online store.

He has a website selling adult toys & lingerie.

Does anyone know if they allow this type of content to be hosted?

If not, can anyone point me in the direction of a good, cheap hosting company that will.

They would be better contacting 123-reg directly. As for recommending hosts, most people on here are hosts so it would probably be better to post a request in the request for products forum - you'll get back plenty of replies.

Most of the hosts allow adult hosting these days... You might just need to go through their TOS and AUP to be sure that they allow any particular kind of adult hosting..

You should probably consult a lawyer for a definitive answer but it probably comes down to consenting adults of legal age.

The UK is starting to think about its online adult laws, at present you simply should avoid breaking any existing uk laws.

Mainly the following;
Extreme (anything that could hurt or threatern the life of the models)
Depictions of Rape, forced *** and similar
Urinating scenes
Underage scenes, or scenes that make it look underage (such as teacher - schoolchildren)

Enjoy But again consult a lawyer don't use my advice as the be all and end all.

I asked the IWF a few weeks ago for some clarification on what guidelines they used to judge legal and illegal so that we had a yardstick for hosting adult content. I was directed to the Obscene Publications Act 1959 & 1964 which to be honest was a complete waste of time.
