ipower as host?

I found this hosting company www.ipower.com based in America. They seem to offer a good package 300GB storage and 3000GB bandwidth at $6/month. But given that its an American host and will my site run slower? Are there any drawbacks of transferring to an American host from a British one? thanks

Hi

this is kinder silly, its well over sold. I would be supprised if they allowed you to even upload 10% of the diskspace allowance. I would personally recommend staying away from hosts that oversell.

You get what you pay for. If you go for a low price, high spec package then there is a reason or it. Like others have said, it will be massively oversold, so don't expect to get anywhere near those limits. You'll probably run foul of some AUP and/or find that they have terrible support to make a profit on those kind of margins.
