The problems are a lot of downtime due to network or server problems. Also it seems that there is no support out of office hours.
In that case, maybe you should consider moving hosts to someone who can provide you with a better level of service, and 24/7 support if that's important to you.

I am prepared to give them a chance if the problems are only recent. If however they have been like this for some time then yes I will be looking for a new host.
Good luck with it..
Most of the people on here are hosts / host with people on here.. but you may find someone who has used them before.. but in all honesty, there is a world of choice out there..
research your next host and know them well before you move to them.

Fair enough...good advice, thanks. But as you probably know it is quite hard to find a good host. Most of the host reviews are biased as the review sites main aim is to get you to click through their affiliate links.
Oh indeed., finding a good host is hard in the swamps of kiddie / bad hosts..
Just scout around, you'll find names pop up time and again, then drop them emails and see how fast they reply.. drop them an email at 2am, 6am, on a weekend etc..
A pain I know, but better this short term pain under your control, than an ongoing pain at random times!

Well as I write this message my website as well as the ehosting website has been down for the past 3 hours........thanks for the advice. I am off to search for a new host.....I just hope I can manage to download a backup of my db sometime soon.
No worries..
If you drop a post in the 'Requests for Products and Services' section of these forums, you'll have offers from many companies of hosting.

Depeneding on the size of your DB, what sort of database it is, and the control-panel the ehosting are using, you mght be able to get at it remotely or setup a cron job to tar/mail to you daily etc.
All depends on you getting it back first, but its never too late/early to start planning your backup strategies.
Site says: Operating Hours Monday to Friday 8:30am until 6:00pm GMT
*hopefully* just means the telephones aren't manned outside those hours, or you're off until Monday![]()

Their website says they have 24x7 support so I suspect if you've contacted them via email you will hear from them pretty soon.
ehosting use Plesk, so you can retrieve a backup of your site via Plesk control panel if you need it to transfer hosts, but I suspect ehosting will solve your problems as they seemed to be a good operation when I had dealings with them though I couldn't say if they were 24x7 at the time.
One of their guys posts on here - PaulC - perhaps try emailing him via this forum to see if he can escalate your ticket.

resellers do offer it a bit cheaper but I think one must always go with the main host
