Reseller account transfer

I know how to make backups and to transfer each client account separately, but I am just wondering if it is possible to transfer all customer accounts in WHM at once. You see, if for example I have more than 200 customers (hosting accounts) and wish to switch to another hosting company it will be difficult for me to transfer each account separately, that’s why I am asking this question. Has anyone had reseller account transfer experience? Thanks in advance!

Never tried it with a reseller, it does have the option of "user" or "root" but it also asks for a root escalation method (sudo etc) and I believe it does it all via SSH, so the account on the old server would need SSH enabled too (I think!)

WHM has a "copy multiple accounts from another server" function, but from past experience, it's a proper pain, and doesn't work well at all.

Jamie is right, I'd recommend copying the accounts one by one.

Anything with a live database, suspend it on old server, copy it, amend DNS (on old server to point to new server), then unsuspend it on the new server, to avoid getting your database out of sync.

Does this work without root access? i.e. can a reseller do it himself without any problems via WHM?

It works under 50% of the time but can be a time saver

We do a lot of cpanel migrations - any site > 2Gb move most of the files out of the way, do a /scripts/pkgacct {user} on the rest, restore it through WHM on the new server, then scp over the files ...
