I use hostgator and their service is pretty good so far.
The only problem I had with them is that there was onetime when the entire contents of my subdomain went missing. And they clearly state that they would have backed it up by than(sunday) but they told me that they didn't have the files backed up. But at the end of the day the still managed to find the files and restored them.

I think HostGator is one of the best hosting providers around. I believe they have this coupon code which gives you the first month for only $0.01 - but I'm not sure what it is.
Both have really good qualities but Im a big bluehost fan...I use hostgator and their service is pretty good so far.

For the average site you can't got wrong with Hostgator. They provide a surprising amount of features considering their low prices. That said, if you've got a site with lots of traffic you may want to look elsewhere.
The one thing that i didn't like about them is their limiting of ftp connections. I believe they limit them to 8, so if you are uploading a large site it can take a long long time.
Im with bluehost and there fantastic. It's got everything i need and it's fast. i used to be with 1 and 1 and that was poor compared to bluehost. I've heard great things from both though so it's a nice choice to have.

Hostgator is not reliable from previous experience years ago, they do provide great services cheaply but support issues not satisfying, for some people it works really good for others no. beside I hate unlimited diskspace offers (sounds fake).
I have no clue about bluehost ..

Welcome to a 3 week old thread. I'm glad you think "unlimited diskspace" sounds fake but does "Unlimted Emails, Unlimited MY SQL, Unlimited Domains [from your sig]" sound any less fake?
