Reseller Hosting for £30

Hi all,

I am currently looking for a good reseller hosting package and find the UK2 Reseller Plus package very tempting. I am currently with fasthosts but find it very difficult to install Wordpress. I will be hosting around 20 websites and prefer to have them hosted in the UK for SEO reasons. I also need to run a lot of wordpress blogs. UK2 seem to meet my requirements and they also claim to offer very simple one click wordpress installation via cPanel. I am not too familiar with cPanel.

Although UK2 meet my requirements, I have read many negative reviews on UK2 such as slow customer service response, slow servers, poor uptime, additional hidden charges etc. Many have even labbeled UK2 as cowboys.

UK2 are currently charging £29.99 for Reseller Plus package. I prefer not to spend anything more than £30 per month for a reseller package. Anybody have any recommendations? Feedback from existing UK2 reseller customers will be very much appreciated.

Many Thanks

How much traffic do your sites currently use? cPanel is fairly easy to use and doesn't really take much getting used to.

As you'd prefer not to spend £30 per month what is your ideal amount?

Do you have any specifics on space/traffic needed ?

cPanel is the most popular control panel and WHM does make running several accounts a lot easier, as well as being easy to migrate to/from.

My best performing site receives 2,000 traffic per month. The other sites receive an average of 500 visitors per month.

Im not even not sure what the ideal budget is to cover my needs. I guess anything between £20 - £30.

Thanks in advance.

Is there any hard numbers on the GB's needed for space & transfer ?

As that will allow you to get a package that best fits your needs.

None of my sites are currently receiving more than 3,000 visits per month (although I hope it will grow). Most of the sites are receiving just a few hundred visitors per month.

Regarding web space, all of my sites have an average of 100 pages. I don't believe web space is an issue for me but I would like the flexibility of hosting many more sites in the future.

Cheers

You should have no problem fitting inside UK2's "reseller" package, you wouldn't need the Plus package unless you want the custom nameservers.

If you'd like other hosts to pitch to you, i'd advise posting in the requests section.

Is it possible to login to your current system to get the amount of space and transfer your using ?

As without that it's hard to get a package the right size.

Not sure what you mean by that.

Do you mean disc space? I think even 5GB will be more than enough for me. UK2 claim to offer unlimited disc space, unlimited domains, unlimited bandwidth.. pretty much unlimited everything. Although unlimited disc space, bandwidth etc is technically impossible, I like the idea of unlimited domains.

Raja,

Just so you know unlimited doesn't exist, so anyone offering it is lying. Do you want to go with a company that lies to you?

Unlimited domains is okay in that they don't put a limit on it, but as you know unlimited hard drives have yet to be invented.

Well, I don't feel space and bandwidth is an issue for me if I were to go with UK2. The package i'm interested in is here Reseller Hosts Comparison | Compare Reseller Hosting packages | UK2

Thanks

I am aware that unlimited hosted or even bandwidth doesn't exist. Its the unlimited domains that interests me. :-)

I dont think I'l ever be hosting more than 100 domains so I think the unlimited statement should cover 100 domains

Would I need custom nameservers? I'm not sure. For now I will be hosting my own sites but may consider reselling in the future.

Cheers
