    Question vbulletin forum host question

I am looking to host a vbulletin board on one of my domain names for which I havent got any hosting yet.

Might be a stupid question but will most webhosts support this?
Or what should I look for?

I am fairly new to all this so please bear with me

    thanks

Most will, but if your forum grows substantially, they will most likely want you to upgrade to a dedicated server eventually due to the demands it puts on hardware
    Thanks

As long as the host supports PHP & MySQL then you should be fine. Linux hosting is "probably" better for this rather than windows.

If your new to it, try and get a webhost that offers CPanel and Fantastico scripts (forum).
This way you can install the forum by clicking a button, you wont even need to upload any files

vBulletin is a paid-for script, therefore you won't find it in Fantastico.

I have wondered if it is ever worth buying 100 or so vbulletin licences then offering them for use for free to customers who buy high end hosting packages, adding to installatron as well maybe.

could work, there are alot of people out there that want a high end forum hosting service at reasonable cost, this could help them differentiate themselves from the phpbb mob.....
