Sony have never been great with ergonomics IMHO, unless someone else has done it before so they can copy it. According to el reg, there's possibly a newer version of the PSP out soon.

Is this the conversion into a mobile phone? :bash:
Never worked for the NGAGE, can't see it working here either.
I do know that they have said the the screen size is fixed whatever they do, but there are rumours of a number of changes, including 8GB on-board flash RAM and Digital distribution so it will be interesting to see what eventually transpired. The way $ony have been going recently, it'll probably turn out even less ergonomic.
Sony are trying to improve sales by tying it to the PS3 aren't they? I know Nintendo promised something between the DS and Wii - owning both, I'm more interested in that pairing, but Nintendo don't seem to be living up to their promises or potential at the moment.
The PSP is pretty and everything, but it seems too fragile for the real world, and certainly too fragile for a child's toy (which is sadly how most of the public see gaming). The only person I know who had one broke the screen in the first week. Sony just seem too arrogant, and assume that whatever they make will sell - I'd like to say I wouldn't buy anything from them just on principle, but I do have two Vaios, so I can't really back that up.
I had a PSP, but ended up px'ing it for my Xbox 360. It was ok - but as said, not very ergonomic.
The games were a little poor too, it started off promising, but ended up going downhill. I had/have a PSP forum, but it too went downhill (i did change it to a general purpose forum, but it never really recovered).
PSP never appealed to me, had a quick go on my nephews, not all that impressed (You just can't beat the Atari Lynx - although it was a battery eater).
Not a big Sony fan, their arrogant attitude stinks.

Playing GTA on the PSP annoyed me, I never quite got it.
I always saw the DS as the actual 'toy' while the PSP was meant for 'gaming' as opposed to the occasional kiddy play.
