    Question novice help required

I would like to set up a site to promote a small business. Am a confident beginner with web site creation but am confused about all publishing matters. Do I create the site in say Dreamweaver and upload it to a host when I have chosen one? Can it then be editted?

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Yes thats right.

You buy some webspace from somewhere and then you can upload it via FTP so that it's accessible on the web. At any point you can edit your files and re upload them! It's very simple!

As you are using dreamweaver you can use the built in FTP client and simply hit publish at which point dreamweaver will copy your local site online!

make sure that you're uploading the files that you want people to see to the public_html folder

Row: That really depends on how your host has their servers set up.

newbe463: Pick a host (good place to start is in the request forum here), and see their documentation for the details.

    ANOTHER Hostgoza member?

All you [guys] do is pollute this forum with spammy posts (such as updating this 18 month old post), giving your company a bad name and usually getting banned.

    Go away.

Using my powers of deduction, I believe you may require a server accepting FTP connections, and an FTP client, to do the uploading with
