Look, I admit, I should have paid closer attention to the habits here by lurking more first.
I've been on many forums, all with different habits.
I saw about 15 threads that had wide gaps between posts, and everyone seemed to keep a light attitude about things, plus many of the forums do not seem to cycle new posts very often, so I think that it is reasonable to consider offering me the benefit of the doubt that it was logical to assume that this forum had light views on dead threads.
If something exists in the FAQ or ToS that I have missed about at what stage a thread is considered dead, then I apologize and missed it, although either way, I posted because I was interested in the topic, not to rush to receive any benefits.
I understand now what has happened and why those of you who are frustrated are so, but I think you will find that I intend to be an active and beneficial member of the community.
I went what I thought was at length to make sure that I lurked well enough to understand the courtesies and etiquette here, and incorrectly assumed based on what I saw that this forum was casual in thread-resurrection.
I do apologize, and have stopped since I first noticed a comment informing me of otherwise, and I hope that we can resolve this peacefully.
I will love to to be positively active here in this community, and look to give much more back than I receive.
Is there anything that I can do to expedite a resolution?
Thank you, either way.

OK, that's what I'm hoping stays true, too.
What I'm thinking is that new advances in MODs to open source software such as phpBB will make for easier ways for text-based developers to multiply the fun factor from creations spawned of those imaginations.
Slightly off-topic, that is if I am not banned (sigh), would anyone be interested in playing a forum-based RPG here?
I could storytell or play as a player character, either way, if anyone would be interested.
This is also assuming that such would not defeat or compromise any purposes of webhostchat.
