MySQL Monitoring software

Just wondering if anyone knows of any software to monitor mysql databases on a server and it shows a list of what query has been run etc.

Do you mean to log *everything* or just what's currently running?

You can do both, but logging everything will probably slow the machine down a bit.

either the general or slow query logs using grep and or limited/filtered logging and then perhaps mysql-log-filter - Google Code (or similar). Can be a pita if it's a shared box, especially if you're not looking for a specific problem/issue.

As PipeTen mentioned - mtop is good, you can also use the free mysql administrator tools on windows that will show you the "show processlist;" so you could just refresh it when needed.

The other option of course is binlogs, download them, process them to your hearts content - providing you're not after something realtime, but combined with the mySQL windows admin tool, can be very useful.

On a busy server logging everything is a quick way to kill a hard drive and then the machine due to no space on var ...

Still, nothing quite beats mtop and tail -f

I tried monyog but didnt really help. I have a server i got set up with works alongside with a mysql database which i want to see what data is going in and out of the three databases that are inside,

I've tried using mysqldump aswell but that didnt seem. I found you can get it to do xml output but couldnt find how to output into an actual xml file.
