Multiple Monitors
Those of you using multiple monitors with your PC, what software (if any) do you use to run it?
I'm using multimon at the moment. Started with the freeware which was OK, but now trying out the Pro so that 2nd taskbar is themed to Vista but I've actually noticed it's got less features. And you don't get any options when right clicking on programs on the secondary taskbar (eg. Close). Which is becoming a bit of a pain. I often end up accidentally closing the wrong program cos of this.
I'm running 2 monitors at the moment, will be adding another when I get round to installing another graphics card, can't face letting windows manage all my programs from one taskbar.

Hi Nick,
I use Realtime Soft UltraMon it's pretty good and worth giving a go, as well as being able to easily move windows between monitors you can also easily maximize a window across all monitors.
Cheers,
Sean

I must be missing something, I've run 3 to 4 monitors with XP & Vista for years without using software like Ultramon.... why do you guys use it as I just can't see any reason why I'd pay money for such a peice of software? (kind of feel a bit of deja-vous as i'm sure this has been discussed before here aswell)

Well I always need software to manage it otherwise you have 20+ windows open on your primary taskbar, making it impossible to find what you're looking for. Using software, it's properly organised and you don't need to manually drag each window to its appropriate monitor, it's just done with one click. It makes multi tasking 100x easier.

Mark, give it a try - I used to manage with out it as well - but using it make things much easier to manage, ie a task bar per monitor (if you want) and single click window switching between monitors - there is more, but just that really does make a difference.
Cheers,
Sean

It give a few nice features which do help with many apps running or in my case when i use an ext monitor with a laptop and practically no overheads.
I certainly wouldnt pay for it unless you multi task a lot as you can quite easily live without it.

One of those things that you get used to once you have it, I only discovered it recently and it seems essential now
